Candidates should preferably have served an electro-mechanical engineering apprenticeship along with possessing any relevant engineering maintenance qualifications and practical experience.
The role will focus on fault finding, repairing, servicing and installing our varied range of surface finishing equipment and therefore some previous working knowledge of surface preparation and mass finishing would be desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will ideally have experience with fault finding of industrial electrical control systems including PLC's, logic controllers, inverters, etc.
The applicant should be IT literate and be able to work comfortably with software packages such as Word, Excel & Outlook. A fork truck license and IPAF certificate would be of benefit, but training will be provided if necessary.
A fully funded company Ford Transit Custom van will be provided and applicants should hold a full driving licence with a maximum of three penalty points. Provision for parking the vehicle in a secure location overnight be advantageous.
Full product training will be given and the successful applicant will need to work on their own initiative and as part of an experienced team of service engineers who report to the Engineering Manager. The applicant should have a positive working attitude, be self-motivated, well organised with excellent communication and reporting skills.
