Pickling, descaling, derusting are important steps in metalworking, during which oxide layers, scale and rust are removed from component surfaces. These residues are often caused by thermal processes such as welding or heat treatment, as well as by environmental factors during storage and transport, and can significantly impair the quality of the surface.
These processes are used in many industrial sectors, particularly in metalworking, plant and mechanical engineering, the Automotive industry, and the energy and construction sectors. Clean and metallically pure surfaces form the basis for subsequent processes such as Coating, galvanising, painting or further mechanical machining steps.

Scale and rust are not only very hard, but also adhere very firmly to the surfaces of forged and cast components. For this reason, the blasting or grinding media used for descaling and derusting must strike the workpieces with high momentum.
For a wide range of workpieces – be they bulk material, smaller parts with complex geometries or larger individual items such as crankshafts – we offer two different processes:
