Optimal functionality thanks to mass finishing technology

Top-quality components for stamped, turned or milled parts

Mass finishing technology is the technique predominantly used for stamped, turned or milled parts. Our specialists are familiar with the requirements from hundreds of successful applications and can quickly develop component- and application-specific solutions for surface treatment.

From deburring to high-gloss polishing of stamped, turned or milled parts

Function meets aesthetics

The range of mechanical surface finishing processes for stamped, turned or milled parts extends from deburring and surface smoothing, through precise edge rounding, to Super Polishing of high-performance components, for example in motorsport.

The result: components whose surfaces are processed in a targeted and reproducible manner so that their function precisely meets the specifications whilst also fulfilling high standards in terms of visual appearance.

  • Deburring and grinding of stamped parts
  • Deburring of aluminium profiles
  • Deburring and polishing of impression trays, turned parts, milled parts and pot handles
  • Pre-grinding and polishing of the lower-leg components of a knee implant

Reliable operation, easy installation

Machining stamped parts

After stamping, parts usually need to be deburred, ground and, in many cases, pre-treated for subsequent Coating or chrome plating. They also need to be cleaned of stamping oil, i.e. subjected to degreasing.

On stamped parts, such as thin sheet metal, the edges usually need to be deburred or subjected to edge rounding. This step plays a key role in ensuring the components function correctly. At the same time, it makes assembly easier and ensures safe handling.

Even with complex geometries

Mass finishing of turned and milled parts

Mass finishing using circular vibratory finishing machines has become the established method for surface finishing complex milled parts with bores and through-holes. The MV series multi-vibratory finishing machines are the ideal choice for fine grinding or polishing workpieces with contours that are difficult to machine.

Thanks to the precisely controlled surface roughness, turned parts achieve better running characteristics and thus higher efficiency – for example, in pumps or turbines.

Circular vibratory finishing machines are used for cleaning turned and milled parts with coolant, grease or cutting oils. With gear wheels, the focus is often on smoothing the tooth flanks or rounding the root edges, which, amongst other things, significantly reduces friction coefficients. Circular vibrators or trough vibratory finishing machines are often used for this purpose.
