Tumble coating – often referred to in the industry simply as ‘tumble coating’ – is a small parts coating process used for the surface finishing of small parts produced in large quantities. It is used throughout industry wherever large quantities of small parts need to be coated with functional or decorative finishes.

A key advantage of small parts coating is its high cost-effectiveness. As large quantities of small parts are processed simultaneously, short cycle times and low unit costs can be achieved. Furthermore, automated process control ensures consistent coating quality and a high degree of reproducibility.
Finally, material handling is kept to a minimum: the parts do not need to be turned or hung on racks.
Coating with Rotamat machines is the cost-effective solution for surface finishing of small mass-produced parts made from elastomers, metal or wood – such as O-rings, handles, springs or screws.
- Available with capacities ranging from 15 to 160 litres
- Interchangeable barrels of various sizes
- Also suitable for PFAS-free coatings
