In process water technology, the process water not only carries away the abrasion residue from the workpieces and Abrasive media from the working tank, but also – where present – any oil and grease that has been carried in. You are no doubt now asking yourself: “What do I do with this water?”

Process water technology for vibratory finishing systems

Water and compounds are among the fundamental components of Trowalizing. In most Trowalizing applications, these valuable resources can be cleaned in centrifuges and returned to the closed-loop system. This protects the environment and also saves costs.

In some vibratory finishing processes, the water cannot be reused, for example where particularly high standards of component cleanliness are required. In such cases, the water is subjected to cleaning in a flocculation plant and then discharged into the sewer system in a crystal-clear state. The relevant authority grants formal approval for our process without reservation. We’d be happy to assist you with the application process to make things as straightforward as possible for you.

Process water technology using centrifuges from Walther Trowal

In a closed-loop system

For around 80 to 90 per cent of vibratory finishing applications, the recirculation method is the most suitable: using Process water technology, water is continuously recirculated back into the working tank of the vibratory finishing machine via a closed system after the solids have been removed in a centrifuge. This conserves the valuable resource of water.

Overall, this process water technology enables up to 90 per cent of the Compounds and up to 90 per cent of the process water to be reused.

Cost-effective even in continuous operation

When processing products that are subject to particularly high cleanliness requirements – such as certain components in the Automotive industry – or when different Compounds are used in succession in multi-stage processes, the continuous-flow process is the most cost-effective method:

The process water is treated in a flocculation plant and can therefore be discharged into the sewerage system in a crystal-clear state, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
