Blasting technology is used to selectively remove material from the surfaces of parts – usually made of metal – as well as to perform deburring, descaling or strengthening. This involves an abrasive being propelled at high speed onto the parts.
Continuous processing machines are used for the automatic Blasting of complex parts made of aluminium, zinc, brass and steel that need to be processed in large quantities.

Blasting technology is particularly well suited to parts with complex shapes . Even for thin-walled parts, trough-belt continuous processing machines achievesignificantly better blasting results compared with overhead conveyor, wire belt or batch systems: As they are transported through the trough, the parts rotate continuously. This ensures that the blasting media reaches their surfaces from all sides and always from the same distance.
The parts retain their shape even after blasting. Even delicate components, such as flat-round or Seegering pliers with their fine tips, achieve a perfect surface finish.
The result: an all-round uniform blasting pattern without shadowing, combined with high productivity and energy efficiency thanks to the high throughput.

As the parts are simply placed on a conveyor belt or fed from a hopper, large quantities of parts can be processed using Blasting technology with minimal manpower. Furthermore, the precisely adjustable process parameters ensure a high degree of repeatability. Depending on the material, workpiece geometry and desired surface quality, the blasting pressure, turbine power and feed rate can be individually adjusted.
