Aviation industry

When it comes to aerospace components, there is more to it than just shiny surfaces: safety and engine efficiency are the top priorities. The requirements for the surface treatment of structural, landing gear and engine components are correspondingly high.

Automotive industry

The automotive industry is characterised by a wide variety of components made from different materials. Whether cast, forged, stamped, turned or plastic parts: each one places specific demands on surface treatment or Coating.

Defence industry

With experience gained from supplying more than a hundred machines to the ammunition industry, the experts at Walther Trowal have a thorough understanding of the processes involved in Ammunition production and are able to integrate surface treatment seamlessly into the forming process.

Medical engineering

Foundry industry

The requirements for the workpiece surface vary depending on the casting process and the product: some parts simply need to be deburred, whilst for others, a specific surface roughness, uniform colouring or precisely rounded edges are crucial. To this end, Walther Trowal offers a wide range of mass finishing and blasting systems for batch and continuous operation.

Forging industry

To ensure that forged parts meet the highest standards of quality and performance, their surfaces must be clean, smooth and uniform. Scale, oxides and surface discolouration must be removed. For visible parts, a uniform appearance is also important.

Additive manufacturing

Mass finishing has established itself as the ideal method: abrasive media flow around the components, finishing the surface gently and evenly. It also reaches internal areas and undercuts – which is particularly important for bionic shapes.
