The ideal complement to Additive manufacturing

AM multi-vibratory finishing machine

Perfect surfaces for 3D-printed components

Mass finishing is the perfect complement to Additive manufacturing: in a single operation, the abrasive media remove all surface irregularities typical of this process, such as the staircasing effect, marks left by support structures and caked-on powder residues.

Mass finishing has emerged as the ideal surface finishing method, particularly for topology-optimised workpieces with complex – often bionic – shapes: The abrasive media, which flow around the components, treat the surface evenly and gently; they also reach the hard-to-access internal contours of the components as well as undercuts.

The AM post-process machines operate automatically and achieve a high degree of reproducibility. And, unlike electrochemical processes, the surface smoothness and lustre are achieved in a single process step. Mass finishing also means that the machines are very compact and take up little space.

  • Specially developed for Additive manufacturing
  • Ideal for complex geometries
  • Smoothness and lustre in a single process step
  • High reproducibility
  • Cost-effective operation
