Plastic abrasive media are particularly suitable for the gentle machining of delicate surfaces, such as die-cast aluminium or zinc components. Thanks to their special material composition, they machine workpieces very gently and do not splinter in the process. During the vibratory finishing process, the abrasive media do become smaller due to wear, but retain their original shape. Once they reach a certain size, they should be sorted out to prevent them from becoming lodged in holes or openings in the workpieces.
The so-called ‘nipple’ was developed for areas that are particularly difficult to access. Its special shape enables the deburring and grinding of even deep-seated burrs, whilst at the same time preventing it from becoming jammed in the workpieces.
The result of the grinding process depends largely on the right abrasive media. The range therefore includes a wide selection of variants with different grinding capacities, shapes and sizes. This ensures that the abrasive media can reach even hard-to-access areas without becoming wedged in the workpieces.
